Since several things have pre-empted the usual Tuesday photo feature for a few weeks, here are a few extras to make up for it, from a park trip we took with friends on a warm day.
I love how the desire to build things in sand seems to be written into the DNA of almost every kid.
Build walls, make moats, construct dams, dig for water…it just comes naturally, it seems!
And I do dearly love November days that allow for bare feet. It’s cloudy, yes, but it’s cloudy with bare feet.

I love it that no matter how many new and exciting entertainment opportunities there are for families ... the beach is still a huge draw. Looks like you had a fun day.

We my son was growing up I would have to bring extra clothes with us to the beach. It didn't matter the season or age. (We live in the SF Bay Area) He ALWAYS ended up in the water. We would bring a huge beach towel and make him a dressing room with it. He would do a full outfit change and jump in the car to our next destination.

Looks like a lot of fun, but the water looks cold. However, kids don't seem to notice things like that so much.

They don't! I asked Zoe if the water was cold, and she said, "No, it feels fine! My feet are numb now."
