Hello dear readers!
For the last 48 hours, Mr. FG and I have been childless, thanks to my sister and brother-in-law, and that’s why there were so many date nights on my last menu plan! Remember how we watched our 3 nephews a few weekends ago (and remember the aftermath?)? Well, that was part of a child-care swap we did with my sister and her husband, so this weekend it was our turn to go child-free.
We stayed here in our super-peaceful house one night and then stayed at a hotel last night (a really, really nice one that we got for $39 because of my brother’s family discount…yay!).
It was lovely and relaxing and altogether wonderful, and we are so grateful for the opportunity for some one-on-one time. 😉
Anyhow, if you’re new around here you might have wondered what in the world is up with the excessive date nights on this week’s menu, and now you know. From here on out we’ll be back to just our usual Friday night stay-at-home-and-eat-takeout date nights.
Also, you should hurry and go enter in my $100 Visa card giveaway…it’s the very last of my Kellogg’s posts and today is the last day you can enter!

hmm... I am thinking that a twice a month child swap sounds like a good idea. It's nice that you and your siblings live close enough together to do that. Or maybe once a month at alternating houses. Oh, what a good idea!!!
