I am a super advocate of breastfeeding. Before I had my kids, I did not think I would want to breastfeed. While I was pregnant with my first, I thought I would try it but probably would not stay with it. When the baby was born and I started to nurse, I found that it hurt a little at first but then, it was so easy! I did not have to warm up any bottles. I did not have to take any bottles with me when we went out. I could nurse anywhere and no one even knew that I was feeding the baby. If anyone was uneasy with me nursing, I would go in the car, another room, etc.
I totally understand that some mothers do not want to nurse because of various reasons (pain, convenience, work schedules, etc.) and that's ok. Everyone has a choice in this. What is right for one person, may not be right for another. I just found it easy, convenient and I did not have to buy formula. I did work when I had my kids. I just pumped during my breaks and lunch. It worked out well for us.
