This week I shopped at Weis(of course!), and I also stopped at Shoppers Food Warehouse to buy some flour(it was a thrilling sale, which I will post about another day). 😉
I spent $64.99 at Weis and I spent $32.19 at Shoppers, so my total this week is $97.18. However! I have a $15 gift card for Shoppers(it was part of the flour promotion), and I have $5 in store credit to use at Weis next week(it was part of a promotion they had). So, I’m very nearly to my $100 limit this week, but I have some cash to play with next week.
Here’s what I’m making with my $97.18 worth of groceries:
Saturday(we were at a cookout)
- Grilled Hot Dogs
- fruit
- chips
Sunday
- Buttermilk Waffles
- Grits
- OJ
Monday
- Stromboli
- green salad
Tuesday
- Swiss Mushroom Chicken
- Glazed Rolls
- orange slices
Wednesday
- Shrimp and Fish Creole
- braided bread
- green salad
Thursday
- Chicken Fingers
- applesauce
- buttermilk biscuits
Friday
- pizza, of course…deep dish this time. 😉 Love the Cook’s recipe for this.

I just came upon your great site. I have two suggestions to reduce costs. One I got from http://ourgreenyear.blogspot.com/ where they eat a cold dinner twice a week (no electricity or gas required). Another one is to have 3 out of 7 veggie dinners. No meat is always cheaper.
I like how you plan your meals in advance. It gives me some great ideas. I don't usually plan ahead, and then we end up eating out way too much. Also, I admire your amazingly organized fridge!

Oh, darn it all! A friend of mine asked me to post that recipe eons ago, and I've forgotten. I took pictures and everything...I just need to post the recipe. I will try to do that this week.
And yes, the Swiss Mushroom Chicken is good. It's sort of like Chicken Cordon Bleu, except that it's easier, and I think the chicken is more tender this way. ;)

I want the Stromboli recipe! :-) Have you had the chicken mushroom yet? I would love to know if it was a hit...
