Help me decide what to bake!

I’m lacking inspiration and ideas for this week’s Wednesday Baking post, so I thought I’d ask YOU what you’d like to see. After all, these posts are supposed to be helpful to you, not me!

Anything in particular you want to learn how to bake? or something you want to see me bake? Muffins? Bread? Biscuits? Cookies? Bars?

And I’m sorry, but I’m not going to show you how to bake pie (someone asked yesterday!). I dislike pastry crust pretty strongly (even well-executed pastry), so I’ve never put the effort into learning how to make a good one.

Pretty much anything else is fair game, though!

I totally understand about the pie crust. I kind of like them all - regular flaky crust, graham cracker, cookie, etc. If it's a really sweet fruit pie filling - I do like the regular flaky crust. It offsets some of the sweetness. Your vacation looked like it was such fun! Reminded me of our family vacation in August - lots of great beach time!

I couldn't agree more about pie crust. I like graham cracker crusts, but I do not care much for "regular" pie crusts.

And if I get to ask for something, it would be: Challah-bread, bagels, or bread-bowls. I've had such good luck with your bread recipes, I would love to branch out even more.

Once again, thanks for the wonderful and inspiring blog. And I loved the vacation photos too.

@Anne Oh, making the crust isn't the problem! I just don't really like the taste. Traditional crust just doesn't seem to me like it goes with a sweet filling, you know? I infinitely prefer graham cracker crusts or cookie crusts.

I'm glad you delurked...it's so much fun to hear from my readers!

Sarah, I will work on a biscuit recipe for one of these weeks.

I had to de-lurk and finally post a comment or two. LOVE your blog Kristen, I have gotten so many good ideas & inspirations from you! :-) Ok, now I have to ask why you detest pie crust? The taste or making it?
