Insufficient Height

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I post a picture and just a few words.

They did start out with footwear. But the boots weren’t tall enough to keep out enthusiastic splashes in a puddle this deep.

So they dispensed with the boots.

IMO, keeping clean and dry is overrated.

Sometimes you have to keep yourself clean and dry, to be presentable where you're going. Sometimes you have to keep your clothes clean and dry, to preserve them or not spend a fortune on drycleaning.

The rest of the time? Clothes wash, bodies clean. Go have fun with the mud.

Yes. My only caveat is that I hate dealing with mess on things that are really hard to wash. Like carpet.

So mess is fine on things that can be hosed off or can go in the washing machine, but please don't track it onto the carpet!

LOL! Reminds me of when my husband had to go out in the rain to fix our garden trellis last week. He commented that he wished he could just go out in his skin since it was more waterproof than anything else he had! :-)

I love these photos! I never owned a rain boots and I used to do this when I was little and it's so much fun.

Love to see this. When my children were younger, walks in the rain were common. I called them "puddle walks." I still take them, but now it's usually with my dog. :)

That's a great idea. I should totally do this while it's still warm (cold and rain aren't nearly so lovely).

Love it! Splashing in puddles is one of my son's favorite summertime activities.
