Yes, they cost $8, but they were really, really good.
So good, I don’t even feel terribly bad about spending $8 on them(which is significant, because $8 is a tenth of my weekly grocery budget!).

Oh, the cherries are long gone. We managed to plow almost all the way through the two pounds on Saturday when we ate them with dinner. lol

Wait a minute, I thought this was a family blog ... OH, yeah the fruit.
What do you plan to make with them (or just eat them straight?) I'm not a cherry fan, myself. ^_^;;

MMM i agree all the fresh produce can get expensive but i spend on cherries, grapes, melons, etc and figure it is worth it so long as i forgoe cookies, brownies, packaged crackers, and vending machine candy at work. Using fruit for snacks also really helps as I am a daily victim of afternoon - office worker mindless snacking and i can mindless much quite a bit of fruit without destroying my health.

I haven't had any cherries yet, I'm waiting for local Washington State cherries. I love them so much, but I probably won't see them for another month or so. Yesterday, I got grapes for the first time since last fall---it was the first time I saw California grapes this year. I never buy the ones from Chile in the off season, that's too far. California ones are my only choice, I think the only ones grown in Washington are turned into wine. Although that's a wonderful way to get some grapes in me too!
