No Q&A post today…

We’re all fine…I’ve just got other stuff going on this morning that trumps blogging. 🙂

And I was busy doing other stuff on Friday night, which is when I ought to have written today’s post.

I have some fun stuff coming up this week, though…like some before and after pictures of my messy laundry room,

and a giveaway from Novica (woot!)

If you’re super bored without a regular post from me, you could always browse through all the Christmas posts in the archives.

My "Q" for your NEXT Q&A article: How do I learn to cook from scratch frugally? I get the general idea about not wasting anything (using all parts of a chicken, etc.), but I need more specifics to REALLY 'get it'. Is there a frugal cookbook that doesn't involve canned/boxed ingredients? I'd love some help! I love cooking from scratch, but it is usually so much cheaper to buy Tuna Helper on sale, or other similar products.

It's really nice you even let your readers know you are skipping a day, so to speak. A real life with real duties;-). You are a very kind blogger, other bloggers could learn from you.

I like it when you mix it up and don't follow the ordinary schedule. I think you are an interesting person and would just enjoy reading your thoughts about whatever on any given day.

Did you come to my house and take that photo?

Maybe on the days you don't have time to post, you could ask a question or ask for ideas on a certain topic. I love reading what others have done, think, etc. Like.....What's your best laundry room organizing tip? Then let your readers "write" a post for that day.

Speaking of laundry, I had 3 boxes in the bottom of my kids closets and taught them very early which clothes were white, light, and dark (still have 3 baskets in my closet). I taped colored paper to the front of the box (obviously a white, light, and dark color). If I needed to wash whites, it was easier to gather them up. Been doing this for 40 years and my husband is great at tossing his clothes in the right basket.

I, too. An open basket for whites (ie, anything washed in warm water), an open basket for darks (anything washed in cold water). Open baskets are so easy to dump stuff in, they're pre-sorted, and a basket-full is the right size for a load.

We use this same method! We have 3 large laundry baskets in our laundry room. Since the laundry is upstairs everyone puts their dirties directly in the correct basket. Then I can easily see what load needs to be run before we start school. This revolutionized my laundry system!
