Butternut Squash Yeast Roll Recipe

These rolls are a fun change of pace, and they can easily be made dairy free!

Ingredients

– 1 1/2 cups milk  – 3/4 cup sugar  – 4 tablespoons butter  – 2 teaspoons salt – 1 cup cooked, mashed butternut squash – 4 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Instructions

Combine milk, sugar, butter, and salt, and heat to 120° F (a microwave works great.)

In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine 2 cups of flour with the yeast; stir to combine.

With mixer running, add warm milk mixture to the flour mixture. Mix until combined; add squash and mix until combined.

Beat dough on medium speed for 2 minutes. On low speed, stir in enough of the remaining flour to make a soft dough.
