Homemade Nut Roll

The nut roll is a rich baked good, but it's not overly sweet, especially if you skip the confectioner's sugar frosting. I personally think the frosting adds just the right touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

– Active dry yeast – Water – Butter – Milk – Egg yolks – Sugar

Instructions

In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.

Add the butter, milk, egg yolks, sugar, salt and flour; beat until smooth.

For the filling, in a small bowl, beat egg whites and vanilla on medium speed until soft peaks form.

Step: 4

Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.
