How to Make An Amazing Applesauce

Unused apple slices are generally unattractive because they tend to oxidize and take on an unappealing brown color.

Therefore, on occasion, I create a designated container for these leftover apple slices in my refrigerator, and once they accumulate a sufficient quantity, I utilize them to prepare homemade applesauce.

Ingredients

– Apples – Water – Cinnamon stick

Instructions

Core and peel the apples and place them in a saucepan or pot.

Step: 1

Add about 1/2 inch of water to the pot, cover, and bring to a boil over medium high heat.

Step: 2

Keep an eye on them to make sure that all the water hasn’t boiled out.

Step: 3

Remove the cinnamon stick and, using a slotted spoon, remove apples to a bowl. For chunky applesauce, mash by hand, using a potato masher.
