How to make great homemade pizza

Pizza bakes up the best in a ridiculously hot oven, so it’s no wonder that my 350° pizzas were sort of lackluster.

You’ll need to heat your pizza stone in a 500° F oven for at least 30 minutes before you slide the pizza onto the stone. 

1/2 cup warm water 1 envelope instant yeast 1 1/4 cups water, at room temperature 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil 4 cups bread flour, plus more for dusting 1 1/2 tsp. salt

In a measuring cup, combine 1/2 cup of warm water and a package of yeast.

Meanwhile, in the bowl of a stand mixer, combine 2 cups of flour and 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt.
