Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffeecake

This recipe has been in my to-try pile for a while, but I just haven’t gotten around to making it. This is not an overnight recipe, which is unfortunate given that it is best eaten for breakfast.

– Yeast – Water – Sour cream – Egg – Butter – Sugar and salt – Flour – Cream cheese – Vanilla – Raspberry jam

Instructions

To make the dough, dissolve the yeast in the warm water.

Step: 1

Stir in sour cream, egg, butter, sugar, and salt. Add enough flour to make a soft dough.

Turn out onto a floured surface and knead about 20 times, just enough to make the dough smooth.

Step: 4

Place the dough into a bowl, cover with a wet tea towel, and let rise for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
