I almost did on Friday…it was getting down pretty low, and my husband had long given up on it and started a new tube(he is not as patient as I am when it comes to squeezing the last bits of toothpaste out of the tube!). Instead of throwing it away, I decided to see how many more tooth-brushings I could get out of this tube. So far, I’ve brushed my teeth 8 more times, and I think there might be enough left for one or two more times.
I am probably not going to feel at all guilty when I throw this tube out. 😉
I know…this is small beans, but a lot of small beans turn into a big pile(and that is the topic of a post coming soon to a blog near you!).

When they get that small, I roll up the end and put them in a big plastic bag I have for travel products. A nearly-empty tube of toothpaste still has enough paste in it for a week-long vacation, I've found!

Wow, I have that exact tube in my bathroom. I have been using it to see how long it can go before it finally just gives up. Who knew I was so frugal?!?

There's a reason I keep scissors and zipper plastic bags in the bathroom. And this is it. (and my face wash, hair gel, and all sorts of other things products).

Oh, what a kindred spirit! I too push, squeeze, smash...anything to get that last bit of toothpaste out. I am ashamed to say in the past I was always so hurried and impatient, that I threw away a good bit of toothpaste.

Of course I wouldn't throw it away. I've dug the last smidgen out of mine with a toothpick! Another thing I do is buy cheap shampoo and then dilute it half with water. Between that and all the samples I send for, and the little bottles from hotels and motels where we occasionally stay, I only buy shampoo twice a year!
I haven't figured out a way to save on anti-perspirant, though ;-)
